“KREMLIN SECRETS” Once, Suzdal had two centers — the Kremlin and Market Square. This tour takes you on a walk through both (without visiting the Kremlin museum).
During the tour, you will: • see the remains of an ancient fortress nearly 1,000 years old • learn the origin of the name “Suzdal” and what this mysterious word means • walk along the oldest street in Suzdal and hear stories of ancient treasures • discover what the legendary Vikings did here • listen to the Suzdal chimes and learn the history of the city’s oldest church — the Nativity Cathedral (13th century) • uncover the secrets of modern carved window frames and see the most ornate church in the city
